i took the a puit so i got a (4a^2 + 20ab) then i tried to factor but neither 2-2 or 4-1 for the a square math with 10-2 or 5-4 for the 20ab

Well, you dont need to factor it in that way, all you need to do is find the largest number that goes into both 4 and 20. Not only that, but you can pull out another a. You took out a first power of a, but you can take out two powers since both terms still have an a remaining.
