thats the number line, now, we're dividing this into 10 equal segments, so each wud have a length of :- (10--2)/10 12/10 1.2

hrmm... i dont get it xD but thanks for drawing it for nme
ganeshie8
  • ganeshie8
hmm, next, the required points must be of form :- -2 + 1.2x where, x goes from 0 to 9

ohhh okay thank you so much. i'm going along with what your saying now :)
ganeshie8
  • ganeshie8
lets put down all the points :- x = 0 , -2 + 0 = -2 x = 1, -2 + 1.2 = -.8 x = 2, -2 + 2.4 = .4 x = 3, -2 + 3.6 = 1.6 x = 4, -2 + 4.8 = 2.8 x = 5, -2 + 6 = 4 x = 6, -2 + 7.2 = 5.2 x=7, -2 + 8.4 = 6.4 x=8, -2 + 9.6 = 7.6 x=9, -2 + 10.8 = 8.8

  • anonymous
oh wait nvm i see what you did there with the points because of 0+9. how did you get 0.9? I got -0.8 lol
ganeshie8
  • ganeshie8
-.8 is there in the points list so its not our answer

  • anonymous
ohh okay thanksssss :) i got it now!

x = 0 , -2 + 0 = -2 x = 1, -2 + 1.2 = -.8 ********** x = 2, -2 + 2.4 = .4 x = 3, -2 + 3.6 = 1.6******* x = 4, -2 + 4.8 = 2.8******** x = 5, -2 + 6 = 4 x = 6, -2 + 7.2 = 5.2 x=7, -2 + 8.4 = 6.4 x=8, -2 + 9.6 = 7.6 x=9, -2 + 10.8 = 8.8

-.8, 1.6 and 2.8 are there in our points list. So those are not our answer
ganeshie8
  • ganeshie8
good :)
ganeshie8
  • ganeshie8
since only -.6 doesnt exist in our points list, its our answer
