now the best tutorial around is mine :) sure mine doesnt have graphs but maybe ill add some someday, but its still teh best... now to get it legendary.... *looks at medal count* http://prntscr.com/5im1ap well uhhh this may be a while.... xD

You are also short on video to cover the absolute basics. =P

@BrambleClaw You really like using \(\Huge\bigstar\)
anonymous
  • anonymous
What \(\Huge\bigstar\) makes \(\Huge\bigstar\) you \(\Huge\bigstar\) say \(\Huge\bigstar\) that? \(\Huge\bigstar\)
Jaynator495
  • Jaynator495
@e.mccormick doesnt matter... my absalute basics are so good in my tutorial... nobody needs a video xD
e.mccormick
  • e.mccormick
Then why did they still miss the the \ at the start in your last copy of it? =P
Jaynator495
  • Jaynator495
huh?
Jaynator495
  • Jaynator495
that was sombody who knew nothing about latex... they didnt even know it was meant to be read in the order laid out D
e.mccormick
  • e.mccormick
Exactly! You miss the base case.
Jaynator495
  • Jaynator495
ugh fine ill put it in the question that it meant to xD

\(\cal\Large\rlap{\color{darkcyan}{Bad~Jaynator~lol}}{\color{darkorange}{\;Bad~Jaynator~lol}}\)
e.mccormick
  • e.mccormick
Hehe. It is basically impossible to cover everything and everybody. My two tutorials cover \(\LaTeX\) in general and how to use the MathJax system a few ways.
Jaynator495
  • Jaynator495
yea its true.. but im going to do my best to include everything... xD and ive redicded v.3.... v.3 is just going to be a update to fix and or add the stuff i missed for the colors and maybe misepelling and stuff like that lol
e.mccormick
  • e.mccormick
Well, it really is not a \(\LaTeX\) tutrial. Nothing about the document type, class, loading packages, and other \(\LaTeX\) topics. What you have is actually a MathJax tutorial on how to use certain \(\LaTeX\) commands to cause MathJax to render things.
Jaynator495
  • Jaynator495
to be fair... 87% of OpenStudy's latex is really mathjex ._.
Jaynator495
  • Jaynator495
so its not to easy to get the little pure latex in there xD
e.mccormick
  • e.mccormick
Well, what people use it for here is MathJax. That is why at the start of my tutorials I clarify that. Then, if someone runs into a \(\LaTeX\) document elsewhere they will not be confused and will realize what they saw here was the sub set.
Jaynator495
  • Jaynator495
yea ._. but theres only so much you can add you know =/
e.mccormick
  • e.mccormick
It only takes one sentence to limt the scope at the start. Two if you also want to explain the limt. Hehe. "This tutorial is on using \(\LaTeX\) markup codes to render math and art using the MathJax script on OpenStudy." Tada! And, "It does not cover \(\LaTeX\) documents in general as that is a far larger topic."
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yeah just the other day I looked at a \(\LaTeX\) document, and I was like, what?...
e.mccormick
  • e.mccormick
Then you want this tutorial: http://openstudy.com/updates/52bd214ae4b01cdca44a70d2 Or parts of it. I explain the difference.
Jaynator495

Yah, one of th reasons I have pushed codecogs for a long time on here. Now, not everything there will work here and a few things here won't work there, but it really does make for a much easier edit and preview system for complex equations.

yes, i only want math equations :)
