Can you help me with these math questions? Did I get them right?
Is (0,3) a solution to the equation y=x + 3?
I answered yes.
Is (1, 4) a solution to the equation y= 2x?
I answered no.
Thanks

let's check (0,3) means x = 0 and y = 3 y=x + 3 y=0 + 3 ... replace x with 0 (since x = 0) 3 = 0 + 3 ... replace y with 3 (since y = 3) 3 = 3 since that's true, this means that (0,3) is a solution to y = x+3

checking the second one y= 2x 4 = 2(1) ... plug in (1,4) 4 = 2 that is false, so (1,4) is not a solution to y = 2x again you are correct

Look at the following points. (4,0), (3, 1), (6,3). (2, 4) What are the solutions to y=x 4? Choose all correct answers.

Put the coordinates and check the Equality

goformit100 Group TitleBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
Try with each of them

Simply put the coordinates Like y=x  4 we know (4,0) put the value 0 = 4  4 0 = 0 hence (4,0) is a solution of the given equation.

goformit100 Group TitleBest ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1
y=x  4 check it for (3, 1) = (x,y) 1 = 3  4 1 = 1 Hence (3, 1) is the solution of the given Equation
