A page of pictures for a yearbook is 8 inches wide and 23/2 inches tall. The top margin is 1/2 inch and the bottom margin is 5/4 inches. The space between each picture is at least 6/16 inch. How many 1.5-inch-tall pictures can fit in one column? please help me

Figure out the remaining remaining width and length after you remove the margins.

Add the space between pictures into the top of the picture. Also subtract it once from the whole page. Then you can find out through division.
