What are the advantages and disadvantages of asexual reproduction? In plants

    asexual reproduction leads to no genetic recombination so no variation in genetic terms in the progeny. so gradually the progeny become weak because they cannot tackle the change in environment. so this is the disadvantage.

    advantage can be like...if u want to save a particular character of a plant in the progeny then it can be achieved by asexual reproduction
