When the Python MOOC was in week 0, I received an e-mail called "getting started".
In this e-mail a number of preparations were recommended like installing Python creating an account for Openstudy and CodeAcademy, etc.
It was also recommended to create an account for Github, but I dont know what its for and how to use it.
While doing the exercises I use the Python IDLE, the Python console and the CodeAcademy environment.
Where does Github come into play?

in Github you can upload your code so other can see your work and with most of today modern software development goes through git commands so its very good to learn that :)
