    im guessing you want to multiply it..... 4 x m then 4 x 2 = 4m + 8

    distributive law is expressed by this example a (b + c) = ab + ac you basically multiplied what is outside to whatever you have inside while maintaining the operations for example: 3.5 (a + f) = 3.5a + 3.5f another example 5(e + 4) = 5e + 20
