Why do religions ban natural instincts? Christianity banning homosexuality. Islam banning homosexuality and masturbation. The list is endless why forbid these things yet give us these instincts? Surely this enough proof to classify a religion as false. (please reply to why you think religion is false or true, please state which religion you are talking about and how old your are as well as your sex.)

The cowbird is an example of instinct, it lays it's eggs in another's bird nest to be hatched and raised. The instinct is this new hatchling is not taught but will eventually lay it's eggs in another's bird nest. Human beings, at least in the highest sense of not being animal, learns behavior from parents and the environment so as to counteract any so called natural instincts to follow the path of least resistance. These easier paths are to steal rather work for, have sexual activity any where and way, being a predator such as controlling others for one's own self interest, and last but not least to lie and create falls illusion so to control others. Interesting Kill is defined as "to deprive of life" and not necessarily terminate. This is why Christ say's "I am come that they may have life, and that they might have it more abundantly", which means to me It's God way of freeing people.

There is a difference between biological and higher human character. Frankly I believe homosexuality, incest, bestiality, extreme violence, on other like character are part of man's biology, but that doesn't make it right. That's why in the Torah they were weeded out and why people were taught to act differently. Today the sense that man is biological creates problems in that people accept sexually deviance, envy, jealousy, anger, ... as the norm and don't strive for high values. My religious position is man is to be more than biological, natural, and strive, even though we may fall on the way, to be as Godly as possible. God said "I'm holy and yea should also be"
