what are the products that will be formed at cathode during electrolysis of ZnSO4 when using i) using Platinum as cathode ? ii) Using zinc as cathode? according to my book, hydrogen gas will be released at paltinum cathode , zinc will be deposited at zinc cathode...why not for both cases, z inc is deposited since zn2+ +2e= zn is (-0.76)v which is more electropositive than h20 +e = h^2 +2oh (-0.83v)
