    Determine whether the triangles are similar. If so, what are the similarity statement and the postulate or theorem used?

    ummm okay 48+6 = 54 40+8= 48 now see if 54 /48 and 48/40 are same if they are not then the triangles are not similar

    so you get the ratio 9/8 and 6/5 so these triangles are not similar because the ratio test failed
