(z + 6)^2 = 5 Taking sq rt of both sides z + 6 =sqrt 5 $z=-6 \pm \sqrt{5}$ using algebra.

7. anonymous

so b?

8. anonymous

Doesn't B express the same thing as I have?

10. anonymous

yes so that is the answer ,correct!

11. anonymous

Is that the same answer you got?

I was hoping you had confidence in yourself as you seem to be wavering about my confidence.

14. anonymous

im so confused?

Did you look at my first post? Look at it again, and tell me what step confuses you.

16. anonymous

you said z=-6 and the square root of 5 which is answer choice B

@ssssss @KendrickLamar2014

$(z + 6)^{2}=5$$\sqrt{(z+6)^{2}}=\sqrt{5}$$z+6=\sqrt{5}$Subtrac 6 from both sides of the equal sign.$z=-6\pm \sqrt{5}$The square root is both a + and - just as (-2)(-2) = 4 and (2)(2)= 4

21. anonymous

so it is b?

You know I can't give you the answer, it is against the code of conduct. I have just about done all I can do for you.

24. anonymous

i know , after checking your work my guess is b!
