(synthesize.. please help!) how has the american hero evolved from out native american and puritan roots to the more post-modern hero? looking at superheroes (the avengers) as a case study, what conclusions can you draw about american values today as opposed to hundreds of years ago? how have we changed?

    Well, I don't think it changed, I think it evolved. Heroes a hundred years ago were literally flawless and could do anything. Now heroes are complex tell deep stories. They have their downfalls and their weaknesses just like us. But eventually they're able to overcome their weaknesses and save people from danger.
