    the pattern is multiplying each number by -2... so carry on after -12.

    after you get to the 7th term, just add all the numbers together

    yeah after you find the 7th term by multiplying by -2 then you add all the numbers together to find the sum

    -3, 6, -12 what's -12 times -2? it's 24. -3,6,-12,24 24 times -2? it's -48 -3, 6, -12, 24, -48 -48 times -2? it's 96 -3, 6, -12, 24, -48, 96 96 times -2? it's -192 -3, 6, -12, 24, -48, 96, -192 now add all 7 of those together to get the sum
