    well, I just looked on wikipedia and it says the average walking speed is 4.5km/hr distance = rate*time distance = 5 kilometers rate = 4.5 km/hr solve for time, then convert to minutes. look for the closest answer

    Hm, that's very odd, it would be impossible to solve this problem without knowing the average walking speed. I don't think this is a good question, then.
