If a number is a whole number, then it is an integer.
A. If a number is an integer, then it is a whole number. The converse is false.
B. If a number is not a whole number, then it is not an integer. The converse is false.
C. If a number is not an integer, then it is a whole number. The converse is false.
D. If a number is not an integer, then it is not a whole number. The converse is true.
Based on what you told me wouldnt the answer to this one be A?
Am I right or ?
There's only one of these which has a converse which is true...if you read out the converse of each to yourself it becomes pretty obvious. To get the converse to each statement, swap the 'if' and the 'then' in the original statements and start reading from after the comma. So, the converse to the first statement would be "If I am hot, then I am at the beach". If you do this for all four it becomes clear that three of them do not make any sense!
Oh now it makes sense Thank you! @Ciarán95
No problem @iLorita ..... hopefully you were able to figure it out :)
For your first question, right answer should be 'If I am at home, then I am in my bedroom'
