    Option A is in present tense, but 'appear' should be 'appears', or it won't make sense. Option B is also in present tense, but instead of saying 'is', it needs to say 'are'. Option D is more of a comparative sentence. It's saying that Julia, like her brother Jason, swim very well. It SHOULD say 'swims' instead of 'swim.' Does that make more sense?
