Which clause is subordinate? A. There were baby goats running all over the yard! B. Someone had not shut the gate completely. C. When we looked out the living room window. D. After an hour, all except one had been captured.

    a subordinate clause is also called a dependent clause....it does not make a complete sentence...it cannot stand alone. So which one of those answers fits that description ?

    take a look at C.... " When we looked out the living room window "........what happened then..this is not a complete sentence...it is a subordinate clause
