What are the three different ways colored light can be produced in neon tubing. I understand from a link my teacher provided for me that the energy produced by atoms and electrons connecting after being taken out of orbit cause light. I haven't been very lucky finding other ways. Anything will help, links even.

By any chance could you tell me how you were able to find this site? Maybe then I won't have such a problem finding things.
