Christine earned simple interest, and Joe earned compound interest. B. Christine earned compound interest, and Joe earned simple interest. C. Christine invested for a different amount of time than Joe. D. Christine had a different interest rate than Joe.

    there is no indication that one was a difference interest calculation then the other

    B makes the most sense of course, but its asking you to make that assumption.

    another assumption could be that Joe made withdrawls? or Christina made deposits? if we are going to just delve into whatifs, then whose are just as whatif-ables.
