oh so exponents on equations tell you its quadratic . what aabout the exponential lines with the curve it sounds like exponent and the logarithmic ones
exponent 1: line exponent 2: quadratic exponent 3: cubic And we use "curve", not lines, to indicate a graph of a function to not confuse with equation of a line whose exponent of x is 1.
Logarith and variable on exponent are another topic, like sin/cos/tan....
