It started with a whisper in my ear A simple sound, easy to ignore And then it grew from quite to a roar You pull me in, how did I get here? I told myself I’d never follow you So why am I, standing with you now You’ve won your prize so why not take a bow I’m not a pet, me you can’t subdue. Don’t call me back Please let me go I don’t want you You have to know You weren’t part Of my life plan So please tell me Where... did… you... come… in. I never wanted you to be right here Right by my side, always hold my hand But here we are so let us take a stand You’re in my heart, whether far or near
