Try teaching yourself basic computer science and C/C++ before jumping into software development. http://online.stanford.edu/course/computer-science-101-self-paced https://github.com/vhf/free-programming-books/blob/master/free-programming-books.md#c-1 Start with the self paced course.

It means that you can work when you would like. You don't have to commit ridiculous hours. You can plan your study schedule on your own. The course is completely free, but don't mistake this is a substitute for a computer science education. This is a beginner course so students can grasp the concepts of computer science and apply them to exercises.

If you want to learn C/C++, find some books from here: https://github.com/vhf/free-programming-books/blob/master/free-programming-books.md#c-1

Programming is just an extension to computer science. You should really be learning computer science. That course will help a lot.

You can't learn a programming language in that short of time, especially if you're new to computer science. C/C++ is such a complex language for beginners, it would take you at least a few months to grasp it. I recommend reading one of those books from the list I gave you and try to learn as much as possible.
