which formula, recursive or explicit, is better for finding terms that are later in the sequence, like a20? Explain your reasoning

    For a recursive formula you have to each term to get to the next, so to find the 20th you'd have to find the first 19. With an explicit formula you can just plug in your n and get the value of the term. I'll leave it to you to decide which is better.
