What developments in medieval England influenced modern democratic law?

    I know of two documents. The Magna Carter, which instates that the ruler can not be all powerful and must limits the king's power. The English Bill or Rights, which gave rights to citizens, both nobles and peasants, free rights that no one can take away. You can easily recognize these effects in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
