Show how you solve the following two equations:x + 3 = 18 and x+3/4= 2 1/4

    Well for the first one, x + 3 = 18, you have to do the inverse i believe its called. You need to get the variable alone, so instead of adding 3, you subtract 3 from both sides. 18 - 3 = 15 and 3 - 3 = 0 So your left with X = 15
