what do you think?
i think is to remain
that phrase doesn't really talk about the time of the event or anything try again
yeah i think so to because when someone says at first , then you expect to hear what happens last like at firstt this happened then, however this happend get what i mean?
yeah but how does that suggests that its ending
that is my best guess because all the other answer choices dont make sense and the words "at first" were the only ones that talk about the time of the story kind of like a counter argument , just not an argument so id say at first ___ at last ___.
flicking its tongue is just whats happend, seemed like is just what the narrator thought at first , to remain just describes what the snake would do
this question is challenging :P
It would be A. At first because it infers that something is going to change. Ex. At first, I was going to the mall, but I decided to go to the movies.
