    square has an area of 25 ----> side length of the square is 5 units ----> focal distance is p = 5

    http://www.mathwords.com/f/focus_parabola.htm p > 0 since the parabola opens to the right p = 5 is the focal distance (h,k) = (0,0) is the vertex plug all that into 4p(x-h) = (y-k)^2

    so plugging in the numbers it looks like 4(5)(xh)=(y-k)^2
