I'd love some help! How did glasnost and perestroika contribute to the fall of the Soviet Union? A. The chance to elect representatives gave people the impetus for change. B. They brought the outside world and different economic and political options to the people. C. They enabled the Soviet republics to increase their military strength and declare independence. D. They created difficult economic circumstances that led to a series of small revolutions.
