Is 5783 divisible by 3? Why or why not

    No, this is because when you enter 5783/3 into a calculator it will result in a number that is not whole (1927.666666667 or something like that). If it were a whole number (1928, for example) then it would be divisible by 3, but its not;)

    by divisible I assumed he meant that if you were to multiply a whole number and 3 then the product would be a whole number

    oh.... wouldnt it just be 1927.6 with a bar
