    I would consider this a function analogy.

    I have never learned about this, but I'd say function analogy because water's function is to moisten and spades dig

    Synonyms are words that have the same meaning. Water does not mean the same thing as moisten even though the have different definitions, they are not antonyms/opposites It cant be a description because moisten doesnt really describe water
