The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde
Unfortunately, i have not read this but, try posting this in the Literature section, maybe you'll get better help there. :)
Ok :) Well Thank you for at least trying to help
I haven't read this play since sophomore year, so I don't remember a lot about it. I do remember writing an essay on something like this, and, from that, I do remember that the food was used as a commentary upon the frivolity of the upper class and their lack of concern for anything of real importance.
Sorry I can't be of any more help.
Also, try putting this into google. There might be the same essay prompt I had with some sample responses.
