What is the oxidation state of each element in the species Mn(ClO4)3? I'm going over oxiredox reactions from a long time ago and I'm trying to remember properly.
Mn=3+
Cl=7+
and oxygen=2 right?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0due to the 3 molecules of ClO, I assumed Mn=3+, because oxygen is always 2, then 2*4=8 total charge for 0, the thing is that ClO4 has a charge of 1, the difference is 7 electrons thus Cl=7+?
