A patio in the shape of a semicircle has a diameter of 21 ft. What is the approximate area of the patio, rounded to the nearest square foot? Use 3.14 to approximate pi star times.

    The area of a circle is pi*r^2 where r is the radius radius = diameter/2 Since it is a semi circle it is half a circle and therefore will have half the area of a full circle. Thus divide the area you get by 2 to get the area of the semi circle
