    I don't quite understand this problem but, 49(5) x 40 if that's what you have to do, then that indicates that the number you get from solving this problem is the total amount of books in the library. PEMDAS: 49(5) = 245 245(40) = 9800 There are 9800 books in the library lol wow that's a lot of books.
