Find the area of the sector. What is the measure of the arc on the shaded sector? what is the area of the sector? show work please

    Is 6 feet the measure of the radius?

    Okay so the area of the ENTIRE circle is PI*r^2 = 3.14159 * 6 * 6 =113.097 Area of shaded portion is 120 degrees which is one third of a whole circle (360 degrees) Area of shaded portion = 113.097 / 3 = 37.699 or 37.7 rounded and that's 37.7 square feet

    I guess you need the length of the arc too circumference of entire circle: circumference = PI * diam = PI * 2 * radius circumference = PI * 2 * radius circumference = 37.699 arc = cirumference / 3 = 12.566 feet
