because there is not a big range of numbers

- NotTim

s to highlight the frequency of each individual score?

- OregonDuck

box plot then

- NotTim

Explain why.

- OregonDuck

because it shows the Q1 Q2 Q3 and the minuim number and the max

- OregonDuck

that is all i got i do not know how to explain this

- NotTim

Let's work out why and why not each one would or would not work.

- NotTim

dot plot- It can show you data, and the relationship if x and y (er...really general). I usually use this data in my work for data over time. I dunno how else to explain it.
a histogram- It can show you how much things are in each category (5 blue dogs, 3 red chats)
or a box plot- It shows data, but it is data have margins of errors (e.g. if you were sampling chemicals for purity, this would be helpful)

- NotTim

So, box plot is definitely out.

- OregonDuck

then histogram

- NotTim

I would have thought so.

- NotTim

Look up images of each graph, that would help you a lot.

- OregonDuck

so now with part b
that is confusing

- NotTim

Well, are they assuming you'll do this by hand or excel?

- OregonDuck

by hand

- NotTim

Alright, tell me the parts of a graph (i know, bleh, but i'm trying to intiate the learning process)

- OregonDuck

Title, Scale, Labels, Bars

- OregonDuck

and numbers

- OregonDuck

i need to kinda hurry because after and hour and a half it kicks me out and i lose all my info

- NotTim

Aw. Its a quiz. technically we're not allowed to help you.

- OregonDuck

no a self graded lesson

- NotTim

but yeah, include those. for the y-scale, you'll get a lot of empty values, but go from 0-12.

- OregonDuck

i mean auto graded samething

- OregonDuck

ok

- NotTim

Really, if you draw it here i'll tell you what you did wrong

- OregonDuck

my question got closed great

- NotTim

:/

- NotTim

that was a quick hour.

- OregonDuck
