A ball is thrown from 4 feet off the ground with a vertical velocity of 30 feet per second. Is the ball at its maximum height after 1 second?

    the ball is at maximum height when the velocity = zero

    use the equation of motion under constant acceleration v = u + at where u is the iniital velocity, v = final velocity and a = acceleration due to gravity and t is the time
