I have until MIDNIGHT to do this.
I chose 3 subjects. Family, Early life, greatest accomplishments
Okay. So you want me to help with that?
This is not history, as it was given from my literature teacher
YES PLEASE D"
You have to give 3 facts PER SUBEJECT.
Okay. What would you like me to do?
Okay. Let's see...
I need to find a fact. And site the website. Then say in my own words the fact. The following order. Did it have to do with Family if so, subject:Family, website source, fact
Well, can you help me find facts? And put them on here? XD Sorry I may be asking too much. But I really need ALLOT OF HELP D:
Okay, all of those do have facts. So...I would go for the one with the earliest history of MLK and whatnot and look for it there.
Do you know any facts now? I'll look on the website for more
MLK's not really my strong suit. But I'll look about anyways. Those three sites I got should help.
http://www.readwritethink.org/files/resources/interactives/essaymap/ Help me fill this out
What do you want me to type into it?
ugh idk. I know I am going to fail :/
I have no idea what to do...sigh.
I think I might be able to help out. So, basically, what you want to do is find everything regarding MLK's early life and whatnot.
I just feel like I am going to fail and repeat.
Okay, then, put it into chronological order.
You can do this, don't give up.
hmm. I know his name was originally Michael Luther.
Okay, that's one fact.
Should taht be under Family or early life?
that should be under family.
ugh I don't know anything else D:
I can't find my outline in sapphire WHAT!? great...
Mrdoldum, could you help her out? I have other obligations so I have to leave.
Search him and some topic on scholar.google.com If you use "AND" it searches for things that have both. Example, "ham AND cheese" would only result in websites with both ham and cheese. Also, go to wikipedia and look at the resources cited to generate the wikipedia entry. That is what those little blue numbers are.
I can't use wikipedia
You are not using wikipedia, you are using the sources that are found on wikipedia. Those little numbers represent the primary material that was the original source of the information on wikipedia.
That is the best way to use wikipedia. It really helps you to find primary sources that are relevant to your topic.
I can't seem to find anything on google about his family.
I can't find something like "Martin was not his real name"
I am using this. My teacher want it form me http://www.readwritethink.org/files/resources/interactives/essaymap/
I found this with 3 seconds of work starting at his wikipedia page: http://www.thekingcenter.org/upbringing-studies It details that Martin was not his birth name.
I know it wasn't his birth name. I just need 2 facts about the subject "family" and 3 for "early life"
I can't seem to find simple one sentence facts.
You said earlier, "I can't find something like "Martin was not his real name". I just showed you where you can read a sentence that essentially states that.
oh! Sorry! I'm terrible today
I honestly have no idea what to do.
I just want to punch my reading teacher XD
I already have all 3 facts for "greatest accomplishments." Won a Nobel peace prize, ended segregation. and won justices for african-americans.
I have about 3 hours to turn this big assignment in. Any idea about what to do?
Well, he did not end segregation but he is probably the most responsible for it. Also, I would argue that he only greatly increased justice for blacks in america (not all blacks are African American you know). Blacks are still disproportionally represented in higher paying jobs, get higher jail sentences for the same or even less severe crimes when compared to whites, and there are quite a few more examples.
But are they valid facts? I can put on my assignment?
I would say the are valid enough. I can't really help you too much. I have no idea what this essay map thing is and cannot use it.
Do you have anything that can help me with the Famly and Early life thing? As I said earlier XD
if anything I'm most likely going to fail
The King Center seems to be a good place to start. It was made by his wife. Look to see if he ever had a source of inspiration or and event that caused him to do what he did.
I learned that he was a gifted child and he skipped a grade, Is that valid for early life? He skipped 2 grades
I don't see why not.
Can you share any facts with me?
I'm not going to do your assignment for you. I provided you places to go read where you can find facts. They can be simple, like the date he was born or died, or they could be complex, like motivations for why he did what he did.
Just got done the assignment (i think) I totally forgot about the loop holes in assignments! They can be simple facts! LOLOLOLO
if you were trying to scare me, you could do better =
