    if its under a slanted line then it means its less

    if its right of a vertical line then it means greater, if its left of a vertical line then its less if its above a horizotal line then its means greaster, if its below a horizontal line then its less if its dotted then it means strictly greater of less if its a solid line then it means you are including that line space

    thats how we defined our number line we made up positive and right positive, down negative and left negative
