"Carsons' mill! Ay, there is a mill on fire somewhere, sure enough by the light, and it will be a rare blaze, for there's not a drop o' water to be got. And much Carsons will care, for they're well insured, and the machines are a' th' oud-fashioned kind. See if they don't think it a fine thing for themselves. They'll not thank them as tries to put it out."

This paragraph does all of the following except: A. reveal background information about Carson and his mill. B. reveal that the local people speak with a vernacular dialect. C. explain the cause of the fire. D. suggest that the fire will be difficult to control. E. suggest that people in the community do not like Carson. **I know that B is not the answer, nor is choice D, but quite unsure about the rest :/ @Whitemonsterbunny17 :)

Well, since you know that both B and D are incorrect, you've already eliminated two choices. What else can you eliminate?

The light is the sun, which is hot so it can cause fire. And right, so if there's no water, can the fire be put out easily?
