I need help cause I can't get this problem right at all. Bill and Steve both owe their mother money. Bill owes his mother $300 and plans to pay her $25 every week. Steve owes his mother $550 and plans to pay her $75 every week. After how many weeks will they both owe their mother the same amount of money? What amount will that be? PLease help me and explain......

    what I did was to set the amount of money due the same and find the number of weeks consider 2 functions y1 = 300-25 x and y2 = 550-75 x when y1 = y2 then 300-25 x = 550- 75 x and solve for x the number of weeks = 5 substitute x = 5 and find the value for y, the amount of money due
