How are mitosis and meiosis different from each other? A. Mitosis produces four daughter cells and meiosis produces two daughter cells. B. Mitosis produces four different cells and meiosis produces identical cells. C. Meiosis produces gametes and mitosis produces cells for the organism to grow and repair itself. D.     The correct answer is A. It's actually really hard to explain. However there are some sources I have used.
