In circle A shown below, the measure of ∠BAD is 148°: If mArc BC is 96°, what is mArc CD?

    Yes, since the arc measure is the same as the central angle measure. Since angle BAD has measure 148 deg, then arc BCD also has measure 148 deg. Then the measure of arc CD is the measure of arc BCD minus the measure of arc BC.

    I agree. What this problem is testing you on is to recognize that the measure of an arc of a circle is the same as its central angle.

    On the other hand, if it is an inscribed angle, then the measure of the inscribed angle is half the measure of its arc. |dw:1433799371550:dw|
