    Which statement best describes the point (0, 0) on the graph? No fine is paid if the book is returned by the due date. A fine of $0.75 is paid if the book returned by the due date.     (0,0) is where the amount is 0 on the fine and 0 on days overdue. Consequently, the graph then states if it's not overdue (0 days), then there is no fine (0 is the fine). If it was 6 days overdue, it would be a $4.50 fine.
