Fast help! Giving a Medal! _________________________ The sales tax in one state is 7%. Write a function rule for finding the total cost of an item with selling price x. Then find the total cost of a CD player with a selling price of $150.

    so tax is on top of the sales price. You can write this two ways. using x as the sale price and 7 % which is .07 (percent is just the number over 100 in this case 7/100 or move the decimal to the left two spots.) -> .07*x + x = total cost or 1.07*x = total cost.

    So f(x) =1.07x; $160.50?
