    wait, i think you did the oppsite. i think you distributed instead of factoring. you have something that looks like -6(x-__)(x+__)

    so in this case, you're looking for two numbers that multiply to give you 4, but when you add them, you'll get -3

    yea. and because there's A=1. you dont have to worry about coefficients. so the factored form of x^2-3x+4= (x-4)(x+1)

    oops. but i dont think you have factor it to (x-4)(x+1) because if you FOIL and check it you have x^2-3x-4., but you want +4 so this doesnt work so the most you can factor up to is -6(x^2 -3x +4)
