Adult male heights are normally distributed with a mean of 70 inches and a standard deviation of 3 inches. The average basketball player is 79 inches tall. Approximately what percent of the adult male population is taller than the average basketball player?

    Do you have access to a normal distribution table or graph? You will probably either need that or have the percentages for different standard deviations memorized...

    Hmm... seems off somewhat, since the question wants the percentage taller than the average basket ball player. Almost everyone is taller? :)

    Since we know that to the left is 99.865% it follows that the remaining area to the right adds up to 100%. This means that the area we seek is 100 - 99.865 = 0.135%
