    personification - when a non living thing is treated as a living thing eg = trees were sprinting backwards similie - evident comparison using as or like eg = as hard as rock metaphor - hidden comparison eg = arjun was the lion of the family

    irony - when the same thing happens to you that you mock others for eg = a child mocks her mother for her bad teeth and she herself develops bad teeth in the future Alliteration - The repetition of consonant sounds, usually used consecutively in the same sentence (e.g. Silly Sally saw sixty slithering snakes). Repetition - When a specific word, phrase, or structure is repeated several times, usually in close proximity, to emphasize a particular idea.
