Point R divides EF¯¯¯¯¯ in the ratio 1 : 5. If the coordinates of E and F are (4, 8) and (11, 4), respectively, what are the coordinates of R to two decimal places?

    1. Find the difference between the x-coordinates, 11 - 4. Then find 1/5 of that difference. Add the last number to the x-coordinate of E. That is the x-coordinate of point R. 2. Then do the same to the y-coordinates to find the y-coordinate of point R.
